On June 13, the Bargaining Committee of the Balearic Islands approved the first plan for equality between men and women in the health service, which aims to achieve equality and eliminate discrimination based on sex in the health service. health of the Balearic Islands.

The aim is to achieve greater equality through the following general objectives: to promote and implement the gender perspective in the field of human resources; promote equal access to training and raise awareness and inform about equality between women and men; promote and raise awareness of the balance between family life and professional life; determine and apply measures to ensure the occupational health of staff; implement appropriate procedures to deal with situations of violence against women and sexual harassment; and to consolidate the gender perspective across the whole health service.
