Masters degrees at the University of the Balearic Islands are now much more affordable thanks to the Balearic Islands government’s decision to significantly reduce fees.
On June 20, the government of the Balearic Islands approved public tuition fees for bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of the Balearic Islands for the 2022-2023 academic year. This year there will be a considerable reduction in the prices of master’s degrees that will allow students to carry out regulated professional activities.
The price per credit for a master’s will be €15.63, which is significantly lower than the previous average of €25. Since 2015, the cost of studying at the University of the Balearic Islands has been reduced in order to guarantee equal opportunities for all students. In the academic year 2018-2019, a reduction of 10% was applied to bachelor’s and master’s courses, and in the case of master’s degrees leading to regulated professional activities, the reduction was 15%.
At the request of the University, the methods of payment of tuition fees have also been modified and the cost of issuing the university card has been abolished.
