Participants in the competition for the Barbara H. Weil Prize are currently exhibiting their work in Mallorca.

On July 27, the Weil Art Exchange and the Barbara Weil Cultural Association, supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and Linguistic Policy of the Consell de Mallorca, presented the 12 artists selected to participate in the second edition of the Barbara H. Weil Balearic Islands Female Artist Award.

A total of 115 artists applied for this year’s edition, and an international jury selected 12 of them. They are: Aina Albo Puigserver, Erola Arcalis, Marta Armengol, Maria Bernat Caro, Marina Enrich Genestar, Rosa Antònia Fiol, Nathalie Kertesz Maor, Laura Marte, Françoise Polo, Silvia Prió, Isabel Servera and Sandra Val. All of them will exhibit their works at Studio Weil, in Puerto de Andratx, between July 29 and October 21.

The winner of the Barbara H. Weil Award will be awarded a ten-day trip to New York, where she will have the opportunity to meet several gallery owners and show them her work. She will also visit the studios of renowned artists and attend a reception at the Spanish Consulate in New York.
