The most ambitious season of all time sees the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra giving 100 concerts over eight months, from September to May.

The Minister of European Funds, University and Culture, Miquel Company, explained that the concerts would take on new formats in new venues.

Among these performances, the orchestra will offer 23 subscription concerts – six more than the current one – in three places: the Auditorium of Palma, the Trui Theater and the Teatre Principal Palma while there will be one-off concerts, operas, chamber music and educational programs spread across Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

“This program of a hundred concerts marks the beginning of the new history of the Symphony, coinciding with the start of works on the new headquarters, La Capsa de Música,” Company explained.

The subscription for the Auditorium of Palma will cover a total of eight concerts with the participation of guitarist Rafael Aguirre, University Choir of the Balearic Islands, tenor Josep Bros and soprano Aylin Pérez, among others and costs 225 €.

The subscription to the Trui Theater includes eleven concerts with names such as violinist Leticia Moreno, cellist Truls Mork, pianist Judith Jáuregui and violinist Francisco Fullana, who will perform Vivaldi’s piece. The four estacions under the direction of Jonathan Cohen at a price of 270 €

As for the subscription for the Teatre Principal de Palma, the public will be able to enjoy the premiere of the play in four concerts. Germania 500 by young Mallorcan composer Antoni Mairata, conducted by Leonard Slatkin, pianist Alexandra Dovgan and cello Alban Gerhardt for only € 90.
