  • Style and shooting Montecito, California (Rosewood Miramar Beach): designer, photographer and Montecito native Kendall Conrad joined Rosewood Miramar Beach as the property’s inaugural PlaceMaker this summer. For her first offering, she curated a “Style & Shoot” package, where guests can chat directly with her for a special one-on-one experience. Participants will be able to manually select props from her collection to model for the day in their own photo shoot which will take them directly into Montecito, shot with a beautiful background of local landscapes selected by Kendall’s talented eye.   • A taste of yucatan: Gin Manufacturing Workshop in Riviera Maya, Mexico (Mayakoba Rosewood): The Rosewood Mayakoba gin workshop is run by the only gin producer in the yucatan peninsula, Roberto Brinkman by Gin Katun. This special spirit is distilled using traditional methods and highlights over twenty plants native to the yucatan. Guests will learn how to distill Katun Gin in this hands-on workshop, which will be followed by a cocktail tasting.
  • Oenological meetings exclusive to Paris, France (Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel): Xavier Thuizat, the expert oenologist at the Hôtel de Crillon, invites his guests to discover the treasures of the property’s rich collection of wines. For two hours, it will present five tastings from prestigious heritage vineyards accompanied by five epicurean bites created by the property’s executive chef.
  • Manufacture of lacquered duck at Beijing, China (Beijing rosewood): Country Kitchen, starred in the Michelin guide, invites its customers to discover the secret recipe of the chef and his technique of creation that of Beijing the most famous dish, roast duck Pekinese style. Country Kitchen creates this dish – a hallmark of imperial cuisine in the Ming and Qing dynasties – using traditional techniques to ensure the duck is reddish in color, fatty but not greasy, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

  • Turtle Conservation in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands (Rosewood Little Dix Bay): This wilderness adventure allows guests to work with scientists to tag endangered sea turtles and collect information as part of a conservation initiative. This offer comes at a festive time, as for the first time in 10 years, turtles have returned to lay eggs on the private beach at Little Dix Bay.
