Featuring interiors by DLR Group, the 192-room AC Hotel St Louis Central West End combines European-inspired designs with natural materials like wood, leather, and marble.
With construction completed, AC Hotels’ latest outpost in Missouri is now welcoming its first guests.
AC Hotels arrives in St. Louis
The inaugural program of the AC Hotels brand in St Louis is a seven-story, 192-key property located in the heart of the upscale Central West End neighborhood at the east end of Forest Park. The project – the result of a US$44 million build – aims to meet the needs of travelers and locals.
The development was overseen by Koplar Properties in partnership with Homebase Partners and Concord Hospitality Enterprises.
HomeBase Partners Founder and Owner Andy Holloran said, “Together with the Koplar family and Concord Hospitality, HomeBase Partners is delighted to market the AC St Louis hotel in the heart of the vibrant Central West End. Within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, Forest Park and the incredible medical campus anchored by Barnes Jewish, Children’s and Washington University, the AC Hotel is a much needed and welcome addition.”
Thoughtful design by DLR Group
Blending seamlessly into the midst of the surrounding galleries, this new property merges the cityscape of St Louis with a minimalist, sophisticated design that incorporates artwork by celebrated St Louis-born artist John O’Hara.
Behind an exterior characterized by contemporary wood accents and greenery, interiors designed by DLR Group blend European-inspired elements with modern décor and abundant natural materials like wood, leather and marble. The hotel’s check-in counters are flanked by leather mosaic tiles, and this area is joined by the common lobby space, which has a double-sided fireplace and floor-to-ceiling marble wall.
“The hotel’s design is purposeful, simplistic and elegant while staying true to our unique aesthetic,” said General Manager Candice Woodring. “We’ve tailored our experiences for business travelers, vacationers and locals so they all find something at our property. Whether it’s a chic room after a long flight or Spanish tapas, signature cocktails and local craft beers with friends, we have something for everyone – business or pleasure.
A multitude of amenities
The hotel has 192 rooms designed in a classic modernist spirit. Each comes with plush bedding, spacious work areas, open closets, and Korres bath products, while additional in-room amenities include coffeemakers, temperature-controlled smart refrigerators, and 55-inch smart TVs. thumbs with app streaming.
There is also a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton, the AC Store, and parking in front of the hotel.
Meanwhile, you can enjoy breakfast in the AC Kitchen and head to the AC Lounge for cocktails and tapas in a cozy space with a double-sided fireplace and modern minimalist design. Cocktails are served in scientifically designed glasses etched with a guide indicating the perfect proportion of ingredients.
Additionally, corporate and celebratory events can be hosted in a flexible event space that includes a dedicated conference room and pre-function space. The nearby Edera Italian Eatery can also offer chef-prepared menus.
